ELIZABETH GLAVINIS

CHAIR

Her name is Elizabeth and she studies law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has been attending Model United Nations Conferences worldwide as both a delegate and a chairperson ever since the age of thirteen and she has fallen in love with the art of diplomacy and the science of international relations.

She is an avid fan of negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods. She speaks English, French and Spanish and spends her free time at the gym or chatting away as she is a very extroverted person. She is excited to be a part of such a unique conference and wishes the diplomats cherish this experience.

 

 

ALKISTIS TOUNDA

Vice chair

Alkistis Tounda was born in 1999 in Athens. She is currently studying law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she currently resides. Participation in Model United Nations conferences has been part of her life since 2014 and what sparked her interest in pursuing law studies.

Having lived through the delegate experience multiple times, she is excited to serve at her first post as a chair. Her interests include art history and painting as she is an art enthusiast and is enrolled in painting classes.

ZOE PAPAKYRITSI

CHAIR

Zoe Papakyritsi was born and raised in Volos. She is 20 years old and actually on the 4th year of her studies in the faculty of Law in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has always been an artistic person, dancing, singing and playing music. She speaks English, French and actually learning Spanish. Since the first of her studies she discovered her interest for international relations and affairs, which in fact consisted a motivation to start participating in Model United Nations conferences and writing articles concerning the global community. The fact that she is also an active volunteer working with teenagers has made her truly believe in their power and ideas. After last year’s unforgettable experience she decided to take part again in this conference, as the committee’s president. Her dream is to stand for the protection human rights.

NIKOLAOS TSIRONIS

vICE CHAIR

Nikolaos Tsironis was born and raised in Katerini, Greece. From a young age he was engaged in fine arts by participating in theatrical plays, but also by being a member in a local union of Greek-Pontians. To this day, he continues contributing to the promotion of the Pontian culture by having been elected as the Vice-President of the Union of Pontian-Greek Students of Thessaloniki. He is currently in his third year of studies in the Faculty of Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He started his journey in the world of MUN on his first year at university and since then he has participated in many conferences in Greece and abroad. Through these conferences, his interest for international law, international relations, and diplomacy was enhanced and his love for foreign languages -English and French- got deeper. He believes that MUN is a opportunity for young people to express their views and acknowledge how diplomacy works.
